Pilot Skull and Pin Striping

Vintage Skull & Pin Stripe
This is a messy rendering, but I think it adds the the Vintage effect I like. Ever since SEMA in November I've been even more intrigued with the art of pin striping.  I've been doodling pin stripes in some of my classes and figured I should give it some more practice.  I attempted to do a plane shaped pin stripe at the bottom, it doesn't look anything like a P-51 Mustang, but oh well. I'm happy with the result.

  1. I love the skull and the pinstripes. I think you should move the skull more to the center though. The strap coming out could be tweaked to go the other way or just down, overall I think it would feel more balanced. The whole design and framing effect you've got going here is awesome, definitely screaming vintage. Nice color.
